When Riverside Lodge opened in 1988, founder Jan Thayer made a commitment that the facility would operate on a set of principles that would set it apart from other retirement housing options in the area.

Her mission: Provide care for each of our residents as though they are the most loved members of our family.

Riverside Lodge is still owned by the Thayer family, but now is managed by Vetter Senior Living, also a Nebraska-based company, founded by Jack and Eldora Vetter with their mission: Dignity In Life.
